Walk Cycle Project 5: FINAL Happy

Image

Walk Cycle Project 4: Happy

Image
First pass at the happy walk, with just the contact and passing poses. Impact and extension poses. Same thing, just from the front. I tried making a turntable animation but I keyed the wrong rotate. Oops.

Walk Cycle Project 3: FINAL Sneak

Image
Here it is! My final sneak cycle. I added some drag to his spine and added some secondary action to his hands.

Walk Cycle Project 2: Sneak

Image
Almost-done sneak (with just a hint of reference)

Walk Cycle Project 1: Sneak

Image
For my first walk I decided to do a sneak. Here's some reference I found. I forgot to screenshot the first stuff, but here's the contact and passing positions:

I fixed his arm movement and added roll to his shoulders. Added drag to his hands. Added roll and flap to his feet. On to linear movement!

Buildin Walk Cycles 2: It's Dope

Image
Added some lag to the rotation of his spine using the dope sheet. Dope.

Building Walk Cycles 1

My first pass at the walk cycle, with only the contact positions The second version, with the passing and down positions The latest one, with the arms tweaked a bunch and maybe some things changed? I don't remember

12 Principles Chapter 5

Learned about animation layers and how to use them to add secondary action to an animation

Fox Jump Assignment

Image
The main keys of the animation in stepped mode, without secondary action With auto tangents, still without secondary action  Final version of the fox jump, with secondary action, squash & stretch, etc. I didn't get as much squash & stretch as I would've liked because the squash controls only went in one direction. However, I am proud of the little squashes when he turns his head. Animating the tail was also surprisingly fun. EDIT: A few tweaks, such as adding bounces to the "walk" at the beginning and adding a tad more follow-through on the tail

12 Principles Chapter 4

Image
Rough jumping animation with just keyframes blocked in. Had to go back and redo several keyframes (+ stepped mode so's you can see em better) Added a few breakdowns It was at this point that playblasting stopped working for me, but I went into the graph editor and smoothed it out
